1. Make your video creative. With all of the videos out there, your video will need to stand out in the crowd. Use fun music, great shots, and try to find an angle that hasn’t already been done. People generally turn on to YouTube to be entertained and your video needs to be able to do this.
2. Give some tips or solutions to common problems that are associated with your particular product, business, or services. This is an informational type of video and the audience will like the fact that they are learning something. 3. Make you video educational. People like to learn things when they watch video. Your perfect YouTube marketing video doesn’t have to be all about how to find your website and what the cost of your product is. For example, if you are advertising your home business, then give a demonstration on how to add images to your website, or
how to setup a blog. People will watch your video, learn something, and then visit your website.
4. Add some realism or “behind the scenes” in your video. You can do this by introducing your staff, introducing some of your customers, or even giving the audience a “behind the scenes” tour of the office, factory, or place of work. People appreciate this and it gives your product or business some authenticity.
5. Add closed-captions to your video. Keep in mind that not everyone is able to hear and that those audience members might be the very ones that want to order your product. It’s very thoughtful to keep the hearing impaired in mind when creating a video, even a marketing video, because most people rarely do.

Steps To Updating Wordpress Manually

Check Requirements
Check the current minimum requirements page first to make sure that your web host has the required versions of PHP and MySQL. (If you are not sure, then your hosting provider should be able to help)
Do A Backup
The next thing to do is to do a backup of your database. All your posts and pages are held in a database, so you will need to have a copy of it in case, for whatever reason, you change your mind after upgrading and need to go back. If you are not sure how to backup your database, then, again, ask you hosting provider.
Disable Plugins
The final preparation step is to disable plugins. Now, you don’t have to do this, but every now and then, a plugin hasn’t been updated to work with the latest version of Wordpress, and causes a problem after the upgrade. So, it’s best to try and avoid that. You can easily disable your plugins by heading to the Manage Plugins page in the Dashboard, changing the “Bulk Actions” pull down menu to “Deactivate” and clicking “Apply”.

Now that you have checked that you’re ready to update, you’ve turned off your plugins and you’ve have a backup, it is time to manually upgrade your blog.
Manual Update
Step 1: Replace Wordpress Files
1. Get the latest Wordpress zip (or tar.gz) file.
2. Unpack the zip file that you downloaded.
3. Delete the old “wp-includes” and “wp-admin” directories on your web host using an FTP or shell access.
4. Using FTP or your shell access, upload the new Wordpress files to your web host, overwriting old files
NOTE: you should replace all of the old Wordpress files with the new ones, including those in the root directory like index.php, wp-login-php and so on. Simply copying the contents of the zip you downloaded over the top of your existing files should achieve this. Make sure you copy all the sub-directories as well. Don’t worry – your wp-config.php will be safe.
Be careful when you come to the copying the wp-content directory. You should make sure that you only copy from this directory, rather than replacing your existing wp-content directory. This is where your themes and plugins live, so you want to keep them. If you have customized the default or classic themes without renaming them, make sure not to overwrite those files, otherwise you will lose your changes.
Lastly, you should take a look at the wp-config-sample-php file to see if any new settings have been introduced that you might want to add to your own wp-config.php.
Step 2: Update your installation
Visit the Wordpress admin page at /wp-admin. You might be asked to login again. If a database upgrade is necessary at this point, Wordpress will detect it and give you a link to a URL like: http://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php Follow the link and instructions. This will update your database to be compatible with the latest code. You should do this as soon as possible after step 1.
Step 3: Clearing the Cash.
If you have caching enabled, your changes will appear to users more immediately. If you clear the cache at this point (and if you don’t you may get confused when you see the old version number in the page footers when you check to see the upgrade worked.

Godaddy.com history begins with Go Daddy being founded in 1997 as Jomax Technologies by Bob Parsons, who reviously founded software development company Parsons Technology, Inc. The company changed its name to Go Daddy in 1999 when a group of employees were brainstorming on a more memorable name than Jomax Technologies. Someone said “How About Big Daddy?” A quick check revealed it was taken. Then Parsons said, “How about Go Daddy?” The name was available, so he bought it. CEO Bob Parsons states the company stuck with the name because it made people smile and remember it.
Go Daddy has grown to become one of the largest ICANN-accredited registrar on the internet. In 2001, soon after Network Solutions was no longer the only place to register a domain, Go Daddy was approximately the same size as competitors Dotster and eNom. In April 2005, it surpassed Network Solutions in the market share in terms of total domain name registered.
In 2002, Go Daddy sued VeriSign for domain slamming and again in 2003 over its Site Finder service. This latter suit cause controversy over VeriSign’s role as the sole maintainer of the .com and the .net top-level domains. VeriSign shut down Site Finder after receiving a letter from ICANN ordering it to comply with a request to disable the service. In 2006, Go Daddy was sued by Web.com for patent infringement.
In 2007 and 2008, the company lobbied in favor of legislation that would crack down on unscrupulous online pharmacies and child predators.

How To Earn Money With Online Business Tips

Many internet marketers want tips on how to earn money with a online business. It never seems to amaze me that a lot of people with a work at home business are not earning some money.
When I got a question from a few of the people who are not earning any money, I discovered why.
Many internet marketers are doing little to nothing! I think that just because they have joined a MLM or affiliate program, they just sit back and money comes pouring in. THIS IS NOT TRUE!
So, I have come up with some suggestions that are easy to include in your daily marketing for your online business. But, you need to be honest about whether you really want a business, one, and whether you are going to put yourself into action.
If you put these suggestions into action, daily, and you are not getting results, then maybe an online business is not for you.
1. When you first get started with marketing your online business, set aside at least one hour a day to devote to your business. More would be more advantageous, but if an hour is all you have, then that is fine.
2. Spend the each day marketing your business on solo ads. They do cost, but they also work if you do them with the right company. I recommend starting off with http://www.demc.com/
3. If you have a website for your business some time submitting them to search engines like, Yahoo, MSN, Google, AOL, etc.
4. Start submitting ezines. This is a good way to promote your business.
5. Start writing articles and submit them to article directories. Also, submit them to Yahoo groups. By doing so, you are also promoting your website, which is usually included in the resource box.
6. Submit to various business message boards. There are many on the internet that will allow you to post an ad for your online home business.
7. Start building relationships in the various social networking sites. YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc are good places to setup and account and connect with the users by offering to share value and help. Use the knowledge you currently have about business or online marketing.
8. Start this process all over again.
You can do these steps in any order, but remember, success in marketing begins with persistence and consistence in your efforts. Spend an hour or more, for the next 30-90 days, using these methods to promote your business. Each day use a different marketing method. Don’t try to do all of them at the same time.
Within 30 or so days you should start to see some results for your marketing efforts.
Be realistic, meaning, don’t expect overnight success. Businesses offering “Pie in the sky”, so to speak, should be avoided at all cost. Stay away from those businesses with those type of offers.
Do yourself a favor by investing in yourself, meaning, spend some time learning new skills and knowledge about online marketing and business building. Mike Dillard spends $300,000 a year on his coach. Yes, Mike Dillard does have a coach. So, in addition to all of the information I have given thus far, try looking for a resource of some kind that will help you generate the skills you need and point you in the right direction.
It will be difficult trying to build a business alone. Plus, finding a community or working with someone or others will help give you the support you need and give you the ability to ask for help.

Search engines use a number of methods to identify which sites meet the users search the best. Search engine optimization (SEO) involves looking at these areas and improving the search engine rankings.
The most important thing on SEO page optimization basics is to realize that search engines look at the keywords on the website. The keyword density is the number of times the keyword appears in 100 words, a keyword density between 2% and 5% is considered optimal.
The one aspect about SEO that most people dislike most is that when they visit a website, they usually see the title as “Untitled document”. The title is very important to use on, not only your main home page, but also all other pages within your web site. Use the title to list some keywords, keep the title concise. I always suggest that the title should not only explain with the contents of your article is about, but the words used should be the primary keyword of that article. Long tail keywords, which is a key phrase with four or more words in it is the best kind of title to use. The search engines will pick up on these keywords.
Use the URL of the site to list the primary keyword of your website. You can also try placing your website within a folder of a directory that has the primary keyword in it, or name the files with keywords. Example: http://www.mysite.com/write-article-guide/
Make full use of the meta tags in the HTML code of your document. Meta tags are not visible on the web page but they can be read by search engines.
Search engines cannot see images, they can only rank the results according to the text It’s important to make use of the alternative image descriptions so that the search engines are aware of what the images are about. Create headings on your web site using keywords. Remember to use the correct HTML tag and put some of the headings in bold.
So far, the best way of optimizing your web site is by writing content with the keywords sprinkled throughout your article, but not overly used. Remember, keyword density also plays a part in seo page optimization, 2% to 5% is where the keyword density should remain.
You should write unique content, or pay someone to write the content for you. Do not use content from other web sites, even if you are allowed to do this, the search engines will realize this and penalize you by negatively affecting your page rank.

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don’t go according to you plans. You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. In the daily events, do you feel that your goals remain just that, goals. Then maybe it is time for you to stand up and do something about it.
Many people in mlms are content just to stand around listening for orders. It is unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader-mentality. But, maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen; to be the head and not the tail. Maybe leadership suits fine.
Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it is true that some people are born to be natural leaders. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, you will not be able to establish yourself as an mlm leader.
You must also remember that good mlm leaders are continually working and studying to improve their natural skills. Many establish their leadership skills through a mlm leadership training of some sort. Learning about leadership requires commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses.
First of all, let’s define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He or she must contribute to the organization and cohesion of a group.
Contrary to what most people believe, having mlm leadership characteristics is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them to see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader, not a boss.
In other words, you must first get people to follow you. How is this accomplished?
People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Maybe you may have seen the bumper sticker that says, “Don’t follow Me, I’m Lost Too”? The same holds true for online mlm leadership. If you do not know where you are headed, chances are people will not follow you.
You must know the vision you have set for yourself. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the bosses are, who to talk to, your goals and objectives, and how it works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing.
Being a leader is not about what you make others do. it is about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what you want you followers to become.
Studies have shown that one other basis of good leadership is the trust and confidence your followers have of you. If they trust you, they will go through hell and high water for you.
Trust and confidence is built on good relationships, trustworthiness, and high ethics.
The way you deal with your followers, and the relationships you build will lay the foundation for the strength of your group. The stronger the relationship, the stronger their trust and confidence is in your capabilities.
Once you have their trust and confidence, you may proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you wish to undertake.
Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this, you cannot be a good internet mlm leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people.
Also, you cannot be a good leader unless you have good judgment. You must be able to assess situations, weight the pros and cons of any decision, and actively seek out a solution.
It is this judgment that your followers will come to rely upon. Therefore, good decision-making is vital to the success of your leadership.
MLM Leaders are not do-it-all heroes. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone.
You should recognize and take advantage of the skills and talents your followers have. Only when you come to this realization, will you be able to work as one cohesive unit.
Remember, being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight. Remember, also, that it is not about you. It is about you and the people around you.

The Realities of Starting A Home Based Business

Many people have either started a home based business or are looking into starting one. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that 49% of the nation’s businesses are operated out of the home. Also, 6-in-10 owners used their own money to start the business. According to Louis Kincannon, Census Bureau Director,”Home based businesses collectively generated a remarkable amount of economic activity, especially for women and minorities. Just released data also show most businesses are started by people and families who dig into their own pockets.”
There are a number of reasons why people choose to start a home-based business. Some reasons include the following:
1. Dissatisfied with their present job situation.
2. Laid off or downsized by their employer.
3. A need to be home more with young children or aging parents.
4. A desire to be his or her own boss.
Whatever the reason, there are some necessary steps required in order to start a home business.
First, set realistic expectations. Too many people read advertisements that are filled with hype and imply quick money making schemes generated from a home-based business. It will take at least a year and in most cases, as much as 3 -6 years, if not more, to truly generate a significant profit from a home business.
When some individuals interested in starting a home business come in with the following mindset of, “I am broke and need to make some fast money.” or “I want to start a home based business, but don’t want to spend anything on it until after I start earning some money.”, these are two instances of people who have not dealt with reality. Having such a mindset will most certainly lead to failure.
It takes time to develop a successful home business. Reason is, when you start a home-based buisness, you probably have no prior experience in starting a business. What this means is that you probably do not possess any skills or knowledge about marketing and business. Do you Really Want To Start A Home Business?

People start a home business for various reasons. Some want a better quality of life, some want more time with family and friends, and others want wealth, and the list goes on. But no matter the reasons for starting a business of your own, there are realities that one must face. First and foremost, starting a business is hard work.
Unfortunately, individuals starting a business don’t realize the amount of work it takes to build a business. They hear all the promises of wealth, nice vacations, no more job, etc. but many members of home business opportunities have not informed those starting a business the amount of work that is required. Thus, those who are just starting a home business come in with unrealistic dreams of success overnight or in a relatively short amount of time.
Once these individuals find out how hard it is to build a business, they soon give up and move on to another company, again with the same unrealistic expectations, or they quit altogether.
The truth of the matter is, building a home business is a process. It will not happen overnight and it may not happen in the first, second or third year. I am sure you have heard of people who have tried for five, six, or more years to build a successful business. For example, look at Mike Dillard. Here is a man who quit his job and worked as a waiter while trying for six years to reach success. Not many have this kind of drive and passion and these two characteristics are what one needs in order to overcome the many obstacles you will encounter during your business building process.
The primary reason it takes so long is due to lack of skills in marketing. Think about it for a moment. Many of you have been working at jobs for many years. While at your job, did anyone take the time out to teach you how to market a business? The answer is, NO. Not unless your job was in sales or real estate and then maybe you may have had some kind of marketing or sales training, but most of us have not.
The necessity of marketing skills is one key to success in any business, yet still, those individuals who are told this do little to nothing in trying to learn these skills. Some say its too hard, it costs too much money, I don’t have the time, and more excuses. But, I want you to do one thing. Ask yourself why you started a home business in the first place and what did you think it was going to be like in building a business? Did you think it was going to be easy? You may have heard the many struggles that Donald Trump has gone through and if you know anything about Robert Kiyosaki, you know it was not easy for him. This is true for most successful entrepreneurs. They had to overcome many very difficult obstacles for a number of years before they achieved their success. So, why did you think it was going to be any different for you?
I believe the reasons those who became successful is due to the fact that they finally got it. After all their struggle and hardships, they learned from those struggles and hardships what not to do and they learned how to properly market themselves and their business.
Here is another question I ask you. What are you currently doing to build your business? If you are using offline marketing, you are probably talking to as many people as you can or you have purchased leads and doing cold calling, or placing ads in various newspapers, and maybe using other offline marketing methods. If you are using online marketing, you are probably using the various social marketing sites to market you and your business, or you are submitting articles, or using pay-per-click or more.
But I bet most of you are doing little to nothing. Why? Have you given up? If so, then I assume you have returned to your jobs, but if you are here looking at this, you probably have not totally given up but still not in full action in building your business.
I hear often people who tell me that they want a home business and then initially get into action and then steadily pull back. Here’s the thing. If you say you want a business and then do little to nothing, you are setting yourself up for failure or have already failed and just don’t know it. It is one thing to say you want something, but it is another thing to put what you say into action for the long haul and work at it until you achieve success. But, again, most will not. It is your actions or lack of actions that determines your success and the first thing you must do is to invest in yourself by getting those marketing skills down.
Here is something very, very interesting that happened to me today. I took my mother to her doctor’s appointment. While I was sitting in the waiting room, I overhead these two men talking and what they were talking about owning a business and the economy.
One of the men talking was a successful entrepreneur who had a number of businesses throughout the United States. He talked about his real estate company and other companies that he owned, including his seven bedroom vacation home in Florida. The other man involved in the conversation, did not own any businesses but seemed very interested in what this man had to say.
Here is where it gets interesting. During the conversation, the wealthy man discusses his conversation with another very wealthy man. It was mentioned that this very wealthy man owned companies all over the world. At this point, I want to mention that I am going to refer to the wealthy man who sitting in the doctor’s office as Man 1 and the other man who owns numerous companies around the world as Man 2.
Man 1 shares his conversation that he had with Man 2. Man 1 stated that Man 2 did not believe that the real estate market was going to change, at least not in our lifetime. This is not very good news for me considering I own a real estate investment company. Just about my entire rental properties are upside down. This home I recently bought is not, but I know that it is just a matter of time where it will be.
He also mentioned that he foresees that the current currency in the U.S. along with all of the other countries was going to be a currency used worldwide. In the United States, he felt that the dollar bill was going to be replaced by this new form of currency. Now, I have heard and read about this possibility, but it was interesting to hear this from someone else.
And, here is another interesting piece of the conversation. Man 2 felt that gold and silver were going to become of more importance in many people’s lives due to the fact that the value of the dollar bill was continuing to decrease. Man 1 even stated that he had started buying silver and gold and I know of another woman in one of my businesses had taken half of her savings and invested in silver and gold.
Although silver and gold may have decreased some but it seemingly is not as volatile as the dollar. Man 1 also mentioned that when you invest in silver and gold, the best approach is to treat it as an investment, meaning don’t sell it immediately. Keep it as you would your 401K and other types of investments.
One of the last statements I heard during this conversation was that Man 2 said the economy here in the United States, as well as in other countries, is going to continue to get worse before it gets any better.
You may be wondering now why I am telling you this. First, I see too many people who say they want a business and then do hardly anything to help them and help their businesses. These individuals don’t realize that their actions or inaction have already determined that they are destined to fail or have already failed. That is one point.
The next point is, I am a member of a company that markets silver and gold. It is a good company that is taking off and is one way that will allow anyone to invest in silver and gold. I chose this company because I knew that silver and gold was something to invest in and how did I know? By listening to many of the wealthy. Keep in mind, the wealthy got there for a reason and a lot of it has to do with the choices they made. Those who are living paycheck to paycheck or are struggling have not made very good choices so should I listen to them or should I listen to the wealthy individuals. By observing and listening to what the wealthy are saying and doing, I made the decision to join a company that would be beneficial to me and my family in the long run.
In other words, I am trying to plan ahead. My personal belief is I don’t think the government is telling us everything and probably because they don’t want to cause a panic. But, if things continue to get worse; such as the housing market, cost of living continues to go up, job loss continues, and the middle and poor class continue losing ground and eventually hope, while many of the rich continue to get wealthier, it is inevitable that many people are going to suffer like never before, probably worse than what happened during the depression.
In conclusion, I am not trying to make things look dismal, but I what I am trying to do is to help you to open your eyes and ears and starting making plans for your future. I know some of you are and maybe it is working for you. Well, I am not talking to those; this article is referring to those who have not made any future plans. If you have started a home business, I suggest you re-evaluate your reasons for starting a business and if you are not getting the proper marketing training or doing anything to build a business, ask yourself why? Now, more than ever, is the time to start planning for your future and your family’s future. Do you have a plan? If not, you had better start working on one. Now is the time to take better control of your life because if you are not in control of your life, someone else is.

As a new twitter user, the first thing you should do is to setup your profile. This is so that those individuals visiting your page see that you are active within the community and are far more likely to follow you.
One of the biggest mistakes that new twitter network marketers make is in immediately adding contacts to their following list, without having issued out tweets, updated their profile or uploaded a photo of themselves.

One thing that many people don’t know is that keywords featured within your actual twitter profile URL tie directly in with twitters built in search utility, meaning that whenever someone searches for information using specific keywords, twitter searches through profiles and usernames to pull relevant search results.
This means that you should always include your primary keyword within your profile fields, including your bio area, so that you are far more likely to be included in search results each time someone enters a relevant keyword associated with your market.
