If you have been slapped by Google, I am sure your initial reaction is one of surprise followed by an emotion of resentment or even anger. We all have been there.
But, there are ways to overcome a GoogIle slap. Below are steps to overcoming a Google Slap. It was written by Aaron C. Parkinson, who is President and Co-founder of CarbonCopyPro, of which I am a member.
What Aaron explains are ways in which to have a positive experience with Google even after a slap. I included this article in MLM Online Training Resource because I thought that it was very helpful and informative. Thus, I am sharing it with all of you. Thanks Aaron.
“The key is targeting a keyword that is relevant to your site. BUILD SLOWLY. If you have just been slapped, there is no point in attracting unnecessary attention to having 10,000,000 impressions on your third day. No bidding on keywords that have nothing to do with your site. To ensure that your quality score stays up, you wil have the keyword from your ad group in your Title and Description for the ad group. Use broad match and phrase match in your ad groups. Your goal should be to analyze your ad groups and take out keywords that are not getting clicks. Ad groups with high CTR are great for quality score and RARELY get slapped.
As far as your website is concerned…Build it on WordPress. Google loves WordPress. Ideally you would have a version of your site that is relevant to each keyword but iif that is too intense, then at least each ad group. Thsi means mutiple versions of the same page. That may not happen but that is the BEST approach. Your goal should be to get a high quality score for each ad group and high page rank for your site. Below are some tips on how to do this:
1. Add the best performing keywords to your meta tags.
2. Have several menu pages (i.e privacy policy, contact us, about me, terms & conditions, a resource page with lots of keyword rich/related articles. Make sure these are all displayed and linked in a Navigation menu.
3. Your tag should be rich with the keyword you are targeting. (Use Google’s “Site Related Keyword Tool” to see if Google thinks your site is relevant to the keyword you chose.)
4. Headline on your page has the targeted keyword in it.
5. Ensure that your website description has the keyword in it.
6. H1 tags are specific to your keywords (e.g. buy red shoes)
7. Back link – More for page rank but still part of the algorithm.
8. Put your site URL on social networks for high ranking one way back links. This is the only PROVEN way to get high page rank.
9. Article writing is also effective if it is relevant to your page and a great form of free traffic. EnzineArticles.com is a great place to submit.
Make sure you ping your changes with sites like www.pingmyblog.com or www.pingomatic.com.”
